Loving Life, Learning, Doing
January 2, 2019: before this point if someone had told me that I would be thinking about living without sugar, I would have thought they were crazy. Well its been four years and I can honestly say that I have done it and will never look back. This is not for one day, one month, one year – it is for a life time. Lots of people have to change life styles for different reasons. The main reason for this is generally because of health issues. For me it was because of an addiction.
Who am I
I am a mother, grandmother, partner, friend, sister, aunt, chef and proud of all I have accomplished in 60 plus years. I am surrounded by amazing people. I love to learn, help others and take care of me. Yes we all have to take care of ourselves.
If you want/need to give up sugar, remember…
- you’ve got this
- it’s not as hard as you might think
- I am here to help
- you’ll feel better
- you will learn to take care of “you”
My website is full of ideas and recipes that I have tried and re-tried, all of which are sugar free and easy to make. I love to make and eat delicious food. My hope is to someday put all of my recipes into a cookbook for family and friends, but for now I have added a print button to my site, so feel free to print and use what you like.
Interesting Read
Just finished reading this book that I borrowed online from our local library. Food Rules by Michael Pollan. It is a very informative book and only took me 2 hours to read ( I am a slow reader). This book has 3 parts with 64 rules. Most of what I read I already knew but it never hurts to refresh your mind and confirm your thoughts. After reading this I think I will try to work harder on following some of the rules in part 3. This was the section of the book that really hit home with me.
